Thursday's Blog has Bloggy Clips 9.30.10 {Awesome DIYs}

Here are some of my favorite clips from surfing the Blog Wave this week!

And what a week it has been! Last night was my youngest son's "Back to School Night" where I had to give a mini speech about our Parents Advisory Council {We're here to help!}, AND my darling hubby's birthday {If you haven't been to Buca di Bepo, you must go. Now.}!

In related news, I get to coordinate a dessert table for our Spooktacular Fall Dance for 200-300 people on Halloween weekend. Wha??? Excited and scared and recruiting slave labor. :-O

This weekend we are heading up to Ipswich Castle Hill for our annual family pix with the Callinas, and looking forward to next week - possibly visiting the Providence Zoo for their Jack-O-Lantern Extravaganza and hopefully taking home a pound puppy named Suzie! {That is not her, but she looks like that!}

On with the bloggy clips!

Pumpkin Spice cupcake skewers from WhipperBerry. This blog is so lovely, you can spend hours here perusing her posts and getting very inspired. Instructions included.

DIY Kids Playstove from My Delicious Ambiguity. This was not a new post for them, but new to me and complete with tutorial. Perfect for Thanksgiving when your little one wants to "help" in the kitchen or for Grandma's house - so portable! Tutorial and printables included.

The Pink Peony of Le Jardin is genius. She has lots of great and inspiring stuff - like this $3 Specimen Decoration. Tutorial included on site.

Living Out Loud has a list of fabulous free Jack-O-Lantern patterns. Nice!

A Pumpkin and a Princess put together this darling mock-bubble gum dispenser with a clay pot set, a dollarstore jar and a wooden knob. I LERVE THIS! Full tutorial on their site!

Tomorrow is Friday! If you haven't linked up on our linky party for Feature Me! Friday from last week, do it now! :)

Best,
Krysten

Wednesday's Blog has Party Tips 9.28.10 {Wood Pennant Banner}

Wooden Pennant Banners? Seriously hard core!

These adorable banners from the Crafty Sisters are so cool - so cute - I can't stand it!

Of course, for me as a paper crafter, the heavy tool work would require some assistance, but it would last forever! And being all about *greenity* something durable is very attractive. Maybe I'll have a go with some foam core! That's more my speed.

Anyway, click on over and check out this post. It's a fab blog, totally clickworthy!

Tuesday Has a Recipe {Haunted Cookie Cups} 9.27.10

Ok, how totally cute are these?

SO CUTE!

I was looking for a fellow blogger recipe, but I just couldn't resist

These are Nestle Cookie Cups {Thanks 24/7 Moms} and here is the recipe!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Dough
1 container (8 oz.) frozen light whipped topping, thawed
1 gallon-size plastic food storage bag
48 (about 1 teaspoon) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels
24 (about 1 tablespoon) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
Directions:

PREHEAT oven to 350ยบ F. Grease 24 mini-muffin cups. Place one square of cookie dough into each cup.

BAKE for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. With tip of butter knife, remove cookie cups from muffin pan. Arrange on serving platter.

FILL plastic bag with whipped topping; seal. Cut ½-inch from corner of bag. Squeeze bag lightly to pipe whipped topping on top of cookie cup to form ghost shape. Position two mini morsels as eyes and one regular size morsel as a mouth on each ghost. Serve immediately or store refrigerated for up to 2 hours.

Make Ahead Tip:
Cookie bases can be made ahead and stored covered at room temperature.
Remember to follow baking instructions before consuming.

Tomorrow I will be trying out the Pie Pops from last week. Not sure where the results will end up - I think maybe my son's classroom teacher/s will be getting a sweet surprise! :)

Enjoy!
Best,
Krysten

Monday's blog has something free! 9.27.10

Today's printables are for all my friends who are preschool/elementary school teachers and aids, and for my friends who have kids that age, or who just want to give a fun alternative {or addition} to candy this Halloween!

The three files include color bookmarks, color-me bookmarks and color-me lolly-pop holders. Enjoy!
